idPair is a web application for controlling and monitoring the sports bets all over the United States for fraud prevention based on their real time activities on the multiple betting operators. It gives its administrators ability to track the bets placed, and control certain betting behaviors. Many of its users are premium betting sites like BetRivers and Tipico.

Problem Statement

To develop an application that can connect with any other application to import betting data and show it as analytical graph views and tables. The database needs to be scalable to large data files and real-time transactional data, parse them, and perform analytics and deliver intelligence in an enterprise facing platform.

Technologies Used

We have used the best implementation of AWS services for idPair, most used among them were AWS S3, AWS Cognito for auth, AWS Lambdas, AWS DocumentDB as database and NodeJS for backend.

Featured Highlights

Role Based Access Control: The idPair dashboard application can be customized to give varying levels of access to different users. The three levels of access are Global Risk, Trading Team and Operator. 

Fully cloud based operations: The cost and complexity of managing a physical server set-up is largely reduced by the implementation of Amazon Web Services (AWS) which is a cloud computing platform.

Real time data input and management: The application handles data inputs from different sites and updates in real time using complex APIs developed in Node JS.

Professional UI design and implementation: The idPair dashboard web application has a simplistic UI developed using ReactJS, Bootstrap and CSS. It is designed to look clean and provide effective functionalities for a seamless user experience.

Real-world betting data displayed on USA map: The map feature in the dashboard seamlessly integrates real-world betting data gathered from various sources, and displays it on the map, giving the user information on the bets placed all over the USA.

User log-in and authentication: The application uses Amazon Cognito to authenticate users’ accounts based on their preassigned role to make logging in and out an easy experience.

Challenges 

In the process of development of this web application, several challenges have been faced and overcome by the developers at Laitkor. The website has many features which need a unique solution to be found, and the team has done a phenomenal job at breaking them down to pieces and solving each problem to create the final product. The Role Based Access Control, in particular, was a rather difficult feature to implement. Working on this project has stimulated us intellectually, and has helped us grow into better professionals.
