Setting Up Apache SolrApplication of Refurbished Products
The search uses Solr providing distributed indexing, replication and load-balanced querying, automated fail-over and recovery, centralized configuration and more. Solr powers the search and navigation features of many of the world’s largest internet sites and we have implemented that successfully.
- OS: Windows

This application is a refurbished products destination. A huge array of refurbished products for those who wish to buy but want to save some money as well.
The client had an e commerce site which had a custom query search feature for a list of refurbished products. The feature was not being served successfully to it’s users and some of the data was either getting missed with query search failure and alike issues.
The issue being faced by the e commerce site was because of the search engine, therefore we brainstormed for a couple of advanced search engines which could be the best fit for the site and Solr was the answer to all questions.
We used Solr, the most popular enterprise search engine which gave distributed indexing, replication and load-balanced querying, ultimately solving all client concerns for his site.
